Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have opened up about one of the most frightening moments they experienced as parents—the emergency fetal surgery Kourtney underwent while pregnant with their son, Rocky. The couple welcomed Rocky Thirteen in November 2023, but his arrival followed a pregnancy scare that left both parents deeply shaken.
During her pregnancy, an ultrasound revealed an unexpected problem that required Kourtney to see specialists immediately. Doctors discovered that Rocky had fluid in his lungs, a rare condition that required urgent medical intervention before his birth. Kourtney later described the experience as “terrifying,” explaining that doctors needed to perform fetal surgery right away.
The situation was especially stressful because Travis was away on tour when the emergency happened. Kourtney’s mother, Kris Jenner, accompanied her to the hospital, while Travis rushed back as soon as he could.
